Sponsor a Book Drive
We are always looking for volunteers to sponsor a book drive through their organization, business, or community. We ask that you follow our guidelines for what we accept and offer your use of our Book Donation poster as well as a Hosting a Book Drive document with our suggested process and a detailed explanation of our guidelines.
Adopt a Sharing Shelf
Is your family or organization looking for a flexible volunteer project with a huge community impact? We would love to expand the number of sharing shelves across Alexandria, but we need volunteers to take them on.
We can help you get started by helping you find a location and providing a seed collection of books, but ask that you collect, sort, sticker, and deliver books to your location.
This is an ideal opportunity for a Girl or Boy Scout Troop or high school club with various members to sort and sticker books during a meeting and take turns with delivery.
